USPS Certified Mail, without the trip to the Post Office
PieterPost now lets anyone write or upload a letter online and send it as USPS Certified Mail to a U.S. address. We print it in the United States, hand it to USPS, and return the tracking and recipient signature.
San Francisco, CA. An important letter should not become a printing, envelope, and Post Office project.
PieterPost has added USPS Certified Mail for letters to U.S. addresses. A sender can write the letter in the browser or upload a PDF, add the recipient, preview the letter, and pay online. PieterPost takes care of the physical work.
After mailing, the sender receives USPS tracking. After delivery, the order includes an electronic return receipt with the recipient signature. The complete process works from any country, without a printer or a visit to a U.S. Post Office.

Available now for U.S. addresses
A one-page Certified Mail letter costs $16.50. This includes printing, the envelope, postage, USPS Certified Mail, tracking, and the electronic return receipt. Each extra page costs $0.50. Senders can prepare the letter without creating an account.
“The letter is the important part. Printing forms, finding an envelope, and standing in line are not. We built one clear path from a document on your screen to a tracked letter in the U.S. mail.”
A small part of mail is still growing
USPS recorded 157.4 million Certified Mail transactions in its 2025 financial year, up from 156.5 million one year earlier. Over the same period, total U.S. mail volume fell from 112.5 billion to 108.7 billion pieces. Important letters still need a clear paper trail, even as everyday mail becomes less common.
